Frequently Asked Questions
Is a PicoWay treatment right for me?
If guests have a tattoo or skin irregularity that hasn’t responded appropriately to other lasers, PicoWay is an excellent choice. The dual wavelength pulses are able to treat a greater number of colors and concerns.
The pico-laser is also designed to treat all skin types. Guests that haven’t undergone effective treatment (due to their natural pigmentation) should try PicoWay for optimal results.
What is the procedure like?
Typically, each treatment usually lasts 10 to 15 minutes. Pain is minimal so guests typically do not need an anesthetic, but, with their medical professional’s recommendation, we can apply one. During the procedure, each guests’ medical professional will gradually guide the laser head along the affected area of skin to remove irregularities or ink. If needed, we will offer guests a bandage and a cold compress, to ensure their treatment is as comfortable as possible. Guests may immediately assume daily life following treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
Due to the speed and efficiency of the PicoWay pico-laser, guests will have to attend fewer treatments than those required by a traditional laser. However, the number of treatments necessary depends on each guest’s aesthetic goals, and the complexity of the skin irregularity/ink that needs to be removed. During a consultation, we will be able to provide a customized treatment plan.
What are the benefits of the treatment?
PicoWay has been proven to remove a wider range of tattoo types and irregularities for a higher number of skin tones than traditional lasers. Conjointly, this means guests will have to attend fewer treatments to achieve their result. The minimal amount of discomfort experienced during the procedure (relative to a traditional laser tattoo removal treatment) also entices many guests, since the laser’s ultra-fast pulses transfer the least and most efficient amount of heat into the skin.
What can I expect after my treatment?
Guests can expect to return to normal daily activity after their treatment. The treatment breaks up tattoos and skin pigmentations mechanically rather than thermally like most other lasers, greatly reducing lingering heat or pain after the treatment.
Are there side effects?
Side effects for the PicoWay treatment are minimal. Guests may experience minor redness following the treatment and slight initial discoloration of the affected area. There may be minor bruising or swelling that occurs following the treatment. We are happy to discuss any concerns you may have before the treatment.
Where can I receive my treatment?
You can get receive PicoWay at any one of our locations in Fresno, Visalia, and San Luis Obispo.
