Frequently Asked Questions
What is urinary incontinence?
Urinary incontinence is the inability to control the urinary sphincter, causing hygiene issues or inopportune distractions from normal life. There are a variety of other methods to help alleviate this condition, including intentional dehydration by reducing water intake, scheduling more frequent restroom visits, or even an anticholinergic drug (whose common side effects include dry mouth and constipation). The PRP O-Shot Treatment is an exciting way to avoid medications and intentional dehydration, instead using your own cells to solve this problem.
What is sexual dysfunction?
Sexual dysfunction encompasses many disorders and conditions, including (but not limited to) Female Sexual Arousal Disorder, Female Orgasmic Disorder, Dysparenuia, Genital Mismatch, and Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder. These are just clinical names for what 5-10% percent of women experience. More commonly, these titles refer to desire without pleasure during arousal, difficulty with orgasm, pain during sex, undesired vaginal size, and disruptive lack-of desire. The O-Shot is designed to alleviate all of these conditions, increase vaginal sensitivity, and restore a satisfying sex-life.
How does it work?
The O-Shot takes 4 teaspoons of your own blood to extract the nutrient-rich platelets, the contents of which offer incredible health benefits. They contain hundreds of different proteins, often referred to as growth factors. These growth factors are administered to a needed area to rejuvenate, or stimulate, cell growth where needed. PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) procedures have been around for decades, and is used in our Vampire Facelift and Vampire Facial treatments. PRP has been proven to be so highly effective that it has even been used to stimulate the abilities of professional athletes, including Tiger Woods and Rafael Nadal.
Does the treatment hurt?
Most guests are comfortable during the procedure. Preemptive numbing alleviates much of the feeling from the needle prick, but a mild pinch can be expected.
Are there any side effects?
There are typically no side effects from the procedure. You are able to return to normal daily life after your visit.
How many times do I need this procedure?
After a designated timeframe following your initial treatment, we would love to touch base with you to determine how to move forward. Multiple visits are not required, but are helpful for some guests.
Where can I receive this treatment?
You can receive an O-Shot at any one of our locations in Fresno, Visalia, and San Luis Obispo.
